Patt0n's Way Excerpt
“Come and get it.”
Chase didn’t need any more of an invitation than that. Patton shrieked when he snatched her up by the waist and threw her over his shoulder. She should have been screaming, kicking, fighting for her release. Instead, amazingly, he heard her giggle.
He knew in that instant he’d been played. Played by Patton. His sweet, innocent Patton played grown-up games now. She had to pay for that. Only one punishment seemed appropriate. He hoped that when it came time, he’d be able to stop.
He tossed Patton onto the bed. Her hair fanned out as she bounced to a stop. He could see by the rapid rise and fall of her breasts that her breathing had accelerated, her heart pounding faster now. Her nipples hardened under his gaze as he raked his eyes down her body, giving her every indication of what he intended.
“This is your last chance, Patton.” He watched her eyes darkened more at the sound of his roughened voice. “If we go down this road, I promise you, you won’t like where it ends.”
Patton’s crossed her arms beneath her breasts and tilted her chin up in response. Chase clenched his jaw against the image she made. Her auburn hair a beautiful wave of fire across the rumpled bed sheet. Her navy eyes near black with wild shards of pure energy crackling through them. The hem of her long skirt crumpled up, revealing smooth, tanned legs.
Chase shook his head, ridding it of the more perverse thoughts that clamored to take control. Punishment, he silently repeated the word to himself. He couldn’t let his control slip for a second. If he did, then there would be no stopping him. No pleading on her part would save her from her fate.
Would she plead? Maybe not now, not here with just him. Later on when Slade and Devin joined in, she’d realize her mistake. Then it would be too late. They would bring her pleasure and take their own, but at what cost?
“You scared, cowboy?” Patton’s smug smile tested his resolve. “Because you don’t look too sure if you’re up to the challenge of finding the key.”
